iOS 27: Seven new iPhone features are coming soon

#2: Apple Photos is getting new photo editing tools



Apple’s Photos app is reportedly getting three new AI-powered enhancement gears in iOS 27: Extend, Enhance, and Reframe.

  • Enhances: “Uses AI to extraordinarily enhance colour, lighting and standard images”
  • Reframe: “Mostly designed for spatial portraits…allows users to change the attitude after the shot is taken”

#3: The camera app adds visual intelligence features

Apple has launched an intelligence feature found in iOS 18 tied to the iPhone 16's Camera Control.

But visual intelligence is growing with new capabilities in iOS 27, and is reportedly being baked into the Camera app. There could be a new ‘Siri’ mode within the Camera app that combines current options such as ‘Photo’ and ‘Video.’ The opening of Siri mode will offer all the current visual intelligence functions, as well as some new ones.

Beyond the integration into the camera, Apple enhances the feature with additional residential capabilities. That includes the ability to scan nutrition labels on food packaging and log nutrition records. Users will additionally be able to capture and add tactile information without delay from what the digital camera sees.

#4: Apple Wallet allows you to ‘Create a Pass’.
